Brian Qualls currently serves as one of the two General Managers of Signal Maintenance for CDL. Brian’s career spans three decades of signaling experience from his beginnings at Southern Pacific RR as an assistant signalman through the buyout by Union Pacific RR that culminated with his retirement as the Manager of Signal Maintenance of Pratt, Kansas. After his retirement from UP he was a Construction Monitor at RailPros for 4 years. Over his career he held positions of signalman, lead signalman, foreman, supervisor, and manager of signal maintenance. Brian was involved in the installation and implementation of PTC for Union Pacific as a supervisor in California. He also attended Radio Technician school, Signal Technician school, and obtained his FCC license.
