Mr. Bellai is the Chief Operating Officer at CDL Group of Companies, with more than 30 years of operations and leadership experience in a wide range of businesses in the railway and civil construction industries. He has spent his entire career in various leadership roles before joining CDL. Mr. Bellai is responsible for process improvement, operations management, strategic planning, business planning, staff management, and relationship building and driving the company’s continued success.
He was born and raised in Canada and has spent his entire career working in various leadership positions in the Civil construction industry. Before joining CDL, he served as Vice President of Railway at Chemco Civil Construction & Maintenance for three years and as General Manager at Universal Civil Management/A&B Rail for five years.
Prior to his work at these companies, Mr. Bellai was the Owner and President of L.E.S. Excavating and Consulting for over 22 years. During his time as a business owner, he honed his skills in business development. Mr. Bellai is passionate about helping businesses grow and is known for his ability to develop innovative solutions to complex business problems.
Mr. Bellai has also had a colorful past, as he was a professional hockey player for the Seattle Breakers in 1982. Les brings his wealth of experience and diverse background to his role as COO at CDL Group of Companies and is committed to driving the company’s continued success.
